Built for the people who handle it for real
When a situation turns violent, there's rarely time to think. What gets you through is the technique you've trained until it becomes second nature.
This workshop is designed for people who may need to control aggressive or violent behaviour as part of their job. Our coaches bring years of experience in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling and MMA, and they will take you through practical, proven principles for keeping yourself, your colleagues and the person you're dealing with as safe as possible.
What we'll cover
The fundamentals of control. Positioning, balance and body mechanics, so you rely on leverage rather than strength.
Taking an assailant to the ground. Safe, controlled takedowns that put you in the stronger position.
Maintaining control. How to hold a dominant position and keep someone under control while you wait for support.
Recovering from bad positions. What to do when things don't go to plan, including escaping from underneath and getting back to your feet.
Who it's for
The workshop is open to serving police officers, probation workers, prison staff and security professionals, including door supervisors and event security. No martial arts experience is needed. Every technique is broken down step by step and practised under close supervision.
What to bring
Comfortable clothing you can move in, a bottle of water and your professional ID.
