Muay Thai (Thai Boxing)
Originating in Southeast Asia, Thai boxing is now practised across the world and is widely regarded as the most effective and complete stand up martial art for full contact fighting. Muay Thai fighters use dynamic combinations of punches, kicks, knee strikes and elbow strikes as well as some clinch (grappling) techniques.
Why train in Muay Thai?
Thai boxing is a highly respected martial art, renowned for its effectiveness in combat. Our Thai Boxing class is therefore ideal for anyone who wants to improve their stand up fighting skills, whether for self defence or competition. A number of Fightworx members use Thai boxing classes to compliment their MMA training. The class is physically demanding, so suitable for those who want to improve their fitness, get stronger and/ or lose weight. Classes are open to everyone regardless of age, fitness level or ability.
